(For that life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and [a]show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was made manifest unto us.)

That I say, which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, [b]that ye may also have fellowship with us, and that our fellowship also may be with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

And these things write I unto you, that your joy may be full.
